I agree that Lucas should just leave well enough alone. "Raiders" should be left as it is and just let it stand out apart from the rest. Hell, it already stands out quality-wise from the other subpar enstallments in the Indy lexicon.

So far, "Raiders" is the only Indiana Jones adventure deserving of the praise we've heaped on it. If the Indy stories had started with "Temple of Doom" and "Raiders" had never been made then there'd be no Indiana Jones. The movie would have died a quick death and no sequels or TV shows or novels would have ever been made. This forum wouldn't exist. Wested leather wouldn't be selling the jackets.
Indiana Jones would just be another forgotten character from a forgotten movie nobody cared about.
We, and Lucas, owe it all to "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and as a tribute to the greatest adventure film ever made he should keep the title just as it is.
