In defense of Christine Lahti...

I know Christine Lahti is considered a very serious actress but give her another look. She played a flakey, dance instructor/space cadet in "Pie in the Sky" a couple of years ago. She could be cool as Sophia Hapgood.

Geena Davis might be a good choice even though I don't much like her.

Penelope Ann Miller would be great in a flakey role although she's played that type of character so many times she might not want to do another one. Plus she's even younger than the other choices.

My only problem with Christine Lahti or Geena Davis would be their height. They're both at least 5'10" I don't know why but I picture Sophia Hapgood as shorter than that.
