You might try to find spray paint for vinyl (try auto supplies) it is very flexible but should be applied VERY thinly...I use the word "dusting"...just keep the spray far away and give it small, light sprays.

I don't really reccomend this, though, because with any action the whip will manage to shake off some of this new color.
