Question About Raiders

Hi,

There's one thing I've never fully understood in Raiders of the Lost Ark. When Indy is in the map room with the staff, why does the model of Tanis have the words "Nicht Storen" (Do Not Disturb) written all over it?

It doesn't make much sense. Belloq wouldn't want to deface the model in case it didn't reveal the right location, and as the map room was fenced off, it's highly doubtful the Nazis were ordering any wandering diggers not to touch the model city.
