Not buckles like on a belt, but I'm imagining a rectangular metal ring with a bar trough the middle like the buckle on the Leather MkVII Bag Strap. At least that's my understanding of Dirk's description. Can anyone confirm this?

: Im pretty sure they were silver D-rings.If they were buckles i would have taken more notice but i cant be sure.
