Last Crusade blooper...

I just watched IJLC for the umpteenth time when I noticed something in the cataconb scene.
The catacombs are full of petroleum, right? When Indy and Elsa reach the room where the tomb of Sir Richard is located watch Indy's torch and notice that pieces of textile are burning off and landing right into the petroleum. Even so, our heroic friend did not emerge from the sewers extra crispy.
Not that it detracts from the scene but, I never noticed it until today, maybe I'm blind. Anyone else catch this???
