When belloq delivers the line, "Marion, You are beautiful." You can see that there are three people inside the tent; Belloq, Marion and a Nazi soldier standing guard at the entrance. Marion wants Belloq to dismiss the guard so she says, "I don't think we need a chaperone."
Belloq then tilts his head to look over Marion at the guard and waves his hand to signal the guard to leave. The guard leaves and from then on there is only Marion and Belloq alone in the tent so she can challenge him to a drinking contest and attempt to escape.
