I'm in the middle of reading Edgar Rice Burroughs "Tarzan of the Apes" and it's very good and I'd recommend it to all of you. I bought it as part of a four volumes in one set years ago and just now got around to reading it. The volume includes "The Son of Tarzan," "Tarzan at the Earth's Core" and "Tarzan Triumphant." So far, "Tarzan of the Apes" is action packed and very atmospheric despite its poor depiction of blacks and some geographical inaccuracies (tigers in Africa?)

I'd like to read some other older adventure novels and I wondered if any of you could recommend some. Anybody read any of the "Doc Savage" books? Is there another series of adventure novels that any good Indyfan should read?
