: where can i find a fedora like indys and what style of fedora is it

The original fedora worn by Harrison Ford was (and still is)
produced by an exclusive hat shop in London called Herbert Johnson Ltd.
They made the hats for all three Indiana Jones movies. The hat is made
from a hat called 'The Poet'. The color is brown (or sable; same thing)
The hat is slightly modified with a darker ribbon and the front and sides
of the brim trimmed a bit. The information can be found on the Indyfan
X Marks the Spot page. (www.indyfan.com/xmarks) And, contrary to what
that page says, the current price of the hat is approximately $265.
But it is well worth it as it is one of the finest hats in the world.
(Herbert Johnson has been in business since 1790, meaning that they
are over 200 years old!) If they're still around after two hundred
years, they must be doing something right!!! I ordered my hat this
summer and it is absolutely perfect. Just as for Richard Swales and
tell him that you are interested in the Indiana Jones style 'Poet'.
He is the man who designed them for Harrison Ford. Good luck!!!
(Let us know how it turns out for you!!!)
