To Kenneth, I wanted to say that I remember a while back you were concerned with how your Raiders jacket looked and fit. I think it looks very good, and I was glad to see a pic of you in it. Just the way the leather looks kinda reminds me of the jacket in the opening Raiders sequence. Very cool.
: And to Dale: I have an 8x10 of Ford in that pose on my wall. Good recreation and cool complete gear (I'm almost there). Nice job on finding a look-alike gunbelt, where's it from? Also, are those the NH pants? If they are, what size did you order versus say, what size you wear in jeans? (I know I posted about this before) Just curious. There is a pic of me on the web(www.leathersbymaryterry.com/leathers25.htm I posted this before too.) It's just a pic of me in a Indy style jacket I had a woman make for me. It was before I knew anything about Wested. I had no idea that she was going to post it on the web, hence the hideous yellow shirt (a tribute to my late little bro, who loved hideous yellow shirts) and the squint from the sun in my eyes. considering using only pics and guesswork to make the jacket, it didn't come out too bad. she mostly does work for bikers, so she liked doing something a little different.

Well, to answer your question regarding the gunbelt: David Morgan
makes Indy's bullwhip. After I ordered the whip, Morgan's company
started sending me their catalog. In it, one can find an assortment
of Filson products: bags, jackets, and belts. I e-mailed Filson directly
to request a full-color catalog of their products. I discovered that
their leather belts (style 203-1 1/4) looked exactly like Indy's
leather "equipment belt" from Last Crusade. It also matches the color
of a Wested jacket exactly. But the Filson buckle was a gold color,
somewhat squarish with a roller bar. I searched everywhere for a
silver semi-circle buckle, but to no avail. Then one day I noticed
that my dad's belt, the same one he's been wearing for years, had a
silver semi-circle buckle exactly like Indy's!!! He was more than
happy to trade buckles with me. And that's how I obtained my gunbelt.
Also, Filson has been in business since 1897, making the highest-quality,
rugged American-made gear around. I bought a Filson Rucksack from
David Morgan and it is the last backpack I will EVER buy!!! It's
virtually indestructable. (The kicker for me was that it looks exactly
like something Indiana Jones would have carried.) I keep my bullwhip
and satchel in it when I travel. I'll zip over to David Morgan and
get you the URL so you can see it. I think you will agree that it
matches Indy's outfit perfectly. Be back soon!!!
