: Has anyone ever seen the show Hogan Hero's.Well the show is based in WWII and Americans in a concentration camp.Well, the character Hogan wears a leather jacket, light brown shirt, and pants. The hat is somewhat of a airplane pilot or captain of some kind.I have noticed this for a very long time, and Speilbergs big hobby is WWII,so who knows. He might have also grown up with show.I like the show myself but I was just wondering if you guys have ever seen it before.

Hey. I see the connection. But I've always assumed that Indy's choice
in clothes was based on real-life explorer Hiram Bingham. There is
this photo of Bingham circa 1920 where he is wearing a leather jacket
and a very snazzy fedora. I found the photo in an old biography
of Bingham; I'm not sure of the title. You may want to keep an eye
out at your local libraries for any books on Bingham. Just my two
cents.

P.S. If I don't keep up on obscure explorers, who will?
