HJ question for Patterson

Hi. I read your post concerning the Poet, and you whetted my curiousity. What exactly did you mean when you said that the Poet that is currently being offered by HJ isn't stamped from the original form? I am curious also as to what your sources are. This is the first time I have heard this. I have always had a suspicion that the current hat isn't the same hat that we see in the movies. In fact I have always maintained that each movie used a different formed hat entirely. If HJ changes suppliers every so often, this would explain everything! This would mean that all that the HJ owners had was a overpriced fedora that had the HJ lining. The color, ribbon, felt, and form would be different from the original. Then the only thing we could say was that our hat came from the same folks, and had the same lining! To me this isn't different from a reproduction! Steve
