Yeah, I posted this casting info a few weeks ago. The film, being shot on location in Glouchester, Massachusetts, is based on the best selling book by Sebastian Junger. It tells the true story of a huge storm the Northeast coast suffered back in '90 or '91, particularly the destruction of a swordfishing boat called the "Andrea Gail". Allen is playing the captain of another boat featured in the book. It's actually a very good, real life adventure story, with a tragic outcome.

: Read this a week ago but forgot to post it til now. Karen Allen has joined the cast of the movie "The Perfect Storm" as George Clooney's wife. Also in the cast are Mark Wahlberg, John C. Reilly, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
: I don't know anything about this film except that it's scheduled for release in 2000 and it's supposed to be an action movie.

: Anybody got some news on this film? It'll be good to see Marion Ravenwood in a new action film.
