THE PERFECT STORM is based on Sebastian Junger's novel about a boat disaster at sea. I'm working with the company that is doing the post production sound. It's directed by Wolfgang Petersen, who did DAS BOOT, IN THE LINE OF FIRE, and AIR FORCE ONE.

It has an all-star cast, and from what I understand, Petersen is going for a great deal of realism. Hurricane Floyd's hitting their location, surely, added to the authenticity.
