Saucermen is a script that's been floating around easily available to the public for some time. I believe it was indeed an actual script commissioned by Lucas, but it won't be the one they end up using. Too many people already have access to it, plus it was pretty bad.

Perhaps it's been revised? There is a synopsis of the script under the Indy IV link on the main indyfan.com page...
