I posted about this before, but I (and many other audience members) noticed that the first time I saw the movie (in the theater, 1981, I was 6, blah, blah, blah). Anyway, I remember the collective "Ewww" that followed! I still don't know the particulars of how that fly scene came to be. I suppose it was just a fabulous random event that happened to fit really well.
