Newsradio (was) an extremely funny, yet very underrated tv show
which aired from 1995 to May of this year. It originally aired on
NBC, but now re-runs can be seen on Fox Philadelphia at 12:00 at
night. I have been recording them commercial-free and in order on
Sony master-tapes since July. I am 1/2 to 3/4 of the way there.
It was a show that had this perfect balance where all of the
actors (through their characters) just WORKED. The chemistry was
absulutely perfect and each character played off one-another to
make this perfect show. The sense of humor was sometimes subtle,
other times outrageous, and ALWAYS funny.
I have nearly memorized every episode, and have seen all but
3/4 of the 5th season. And I talk about it all the time. I am
extremely fortunate in having a best friend who also "got" the
concept of the show and loves it (though not as much as I do).
I mail tapes to him, as they don't air it where he lives.
In any case, I HIGHLY recommend it if you ever get the
chance to watch it. (Just check your tv guide on all the Fox
channels, and you will most likely find it.)

The gang are at the 'crappy Mexican restaurant' downstairs.
Matthew is quizzing Dave and Lisa about their recently-announced
secret office affair:

MATTHEW: "Did you guys ever... 'do it' on my desk?"
DAVE: "Ha ha, very funny."

(long pause)

MATTHEW: (laughs) "HA! I know, but seriously... did you?"
LISA: "No Matthew, we never 'did it' on your desk!"
