Considering Harrisons age at proposing filming, if it ever gets filmed, would be 63!!!! Even Sean Connery was'nt that old when he reprised his role of Bond. Maybe somebody else, say Brad Pitt(or whoever) could be able to fill the role. Indiana Jones is a great character and it could survive in the same way that the Bond francise has. Its not a too way out idea if you consider it. Update the actor. The possible problem then would be, do you keep a period piece by keeping it in the 30/40s or do you progressively update it as the audience ages. If it was a long term francise, by that method it would eventually reach the 60/70s. Indys look is classic and it wouldnt need to change in the same way too that Bond retains his look.
