I agree that mostly, unless they have something going on during the credits, just about everyone walks out. There are some rare exceptions, though. When I saw "The Phantom Menace", about half the people there stayed to the end (and got the pleasure of hearing Darth).

Personally, I'll stay after the credits, depending on the movie. In "TPM"'s case, I wanted to see it ALL. In the case of say, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me", they put stuff in most of the credits, so I figured there might be something at the very end of it (and there was. It had Dr. Evil's agent Mustafa still at the bottom of that cliff).
