Finishing NH Raiders pants

I was just wondering about the most authentic way to finish the Raiders pants. There are parts in the movie where you can't see stitching at all. Other times it looks like they are stitched quite high up the leg, like around the bottom of the calf or so. I'm not sure though. If anyone here could help me out, it would be very appreciated!
