Sorry about that other post, I was just typing too fast; so just ignore it. This is the post you want to be paying attention to. Without any farther adieu, here is my answer:

It's true! It was burnt down, because I remember seeing it in a cable tv special no too long ago. Also in the special, it said that the library may contain actual historic records not recorded in modern time and ancient text of biblical stuff (something like the true original of the bible, I think). I think, as I recalled, most of the library is in the sea.
