In regards to authenticity--the cotton is the way to go.
I've only owned the satin finish, so I can't compare the two,
but I think it looks really sharp--I don't the cotton would look
as nice. On the other hand, I don't think that the cotton wood slide
around either--the satin is very "slippery" if you will.

David Hack, who disributes the Cooper Indy Jacket, said in general,
that the satin lining will last three times as long as the cotton one.
Something to consider.

Here's my suggestion--buy both (heh,heh)!!
