: I have an A-2 that I purchased 15 years ago that has the exact same cotton lining that the Wested comes with. That A-2 lining is in as good a shape now as it was when purchased, and the jacket has been in constant use since purchase and is now in use by my youngest daughter. Based on the claim made that the "satin" lining will last three to four times as long as the cotton, that would mean that it should last (worse case scenario) for 45 years, best 60 years. Based on that math, I guess I'd go for the satin lining too. In my experience, I'll stick with the cotton. (grins) Regards. Michaelson
