... the listed date of November 23rd (Tuesday) could be the date that the game is shipped out to stores, and it could very well be in stores either on the 24th (Wednesday) or the 26th (Friday, the day of the week when most new games hit the stores).

I doubt that it would hit the stores on the 25th (Thursday), since that's Thanksgiving Day this year (at least in the U.S.), and most stores would be closed on that day.
