: It seemed like the twenty minutes of new material was the "bridge" between the episodes, after the prom, when Indy is in class and gets the letter. Note how different Sean Patrick Flannery looks. He looks like a really old teenager (he was probably in his late 20's/early 30's when he shot this section). It's terrible, and these two episodes did not belong together. It was much better when it was just Curse of the Jackal. That was the premiere episode, if I'm not mistaken.

Although the episodes dont seem like they should be paired together, I'm glad they did. The 20 new minutes were:
- Indy reading the letter from Frank in class
- Indy telling Nancy he couldn't come with her family for spring break
- Indy reading the newspaper about Verdun
- the train trip to New Mexico
- Frank's family's greeting
- Frank and Indy leaving for a "camping trip" which is actually a trip to a bordello
- hitchhiking
- camping
- discussing the future, archeology, and indy's adventures in egypt
- then they get on a truck, and the real episode starts
