Disturbing Indy IV thought

I was just wondering. They did away with the old Indy scenes in the Young Indy videos. If Indy IV takes place after the Mystery of the Blues, do you think they would dare kill Indy off? It's probably a stupid question. It's just that the more "mature" Spielberg might not have a problem with that. It's possible Ford would be ok with it too. Remember, he did think Han Solo should have died in Return of the Jedi (for "emotional resonance"). I think George would be the one to have a problem with it. And he's the one in charge, so.... probably not.

Anyway, they are "popcorn b-movies". I don't think it could be done without turning the audience against them. Just a thought. What do you think?
