I don't think that's so odd. I bought a Lone Ranger doll at a collectors show about ten years ago. I got one for Christmas when I was 12 or 13 and it had long since disappeared so when I saw one at the collectors show I just had to have it. And even now I'd buy an Action Jackson doll if I saw one somewhere.
