: : : If your co-workers or boss found out you were a indiana jones fan, would they not take you seriously?

: : Ancient history FASCINATES me. Does anyone actually know what the person is called when they get PAID to ever-so-carefully sketch the artifacts unearthed? That's the job I am hoping to get some day!!

: I think you are talking about old archaeology. Modern archaeologist use cameras.

That is the way Howard Carter, discoverer and excavator of Tutankhamun's tomb, started his career- as a painter and sketcher who eventually worked and learned "on the job" under other archeologists in Egypt, sketching their finds. Eventually he worked as a primary archeologist himself, sponsored by Lord Carnarvon for six years until he found the boy king's lost tomb. belloq
