I picked this up from TF.N:

"Variety reports that Paramount is still trying to get Harrison Ford to repraise the role of Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy's 'The Sum of All Fears.' The script is currently being rewritten by Paul Attanasio.

They believe this may be a smart alternative for Ford due to the understanding that production for the next Indiana Jones film is at least two years away. It's reported that Lucas has a script that he likes, but Spielberg and Ford aren't 100% on it. Not to mention the fact that Lucas has a directing commitment with Episode 2, and Spielberg is set to begin production on 'Minority Report' with Tom Cruise."
