When I was a young'n, and this is going back about 14 years or so, I was playing Indiana Jones with some friends in the backyard. For my getup I had a fedora-styled hat, a WW2-era OD canvas Dutch Engineer's pouch, and a cheap party whip I had used as part of a Halloween costume. Trying to be like Indy, I swung the whip and wrapped it around a tree branch overhead. Then I attempted to swing on it, but the branch broke, the whip broke in two, and I landed flat on my ass! Now this was a junk whip but I would be hesitant to try it even with a nice one- it can't be too good for it...
