Go to IndyGear to the FAQ page. Go to the Jackets section and scroll to the bottom of the page. I have written what I've don't to my jackets. Yes, you can use Vaseline, but I'd advise on the hide and not the skin, as with the Pecards. It will soak in the hide much better than the skin. Regards. Michaelson
