: : : Between rubbing alcohol and sandpaper, it just amazes me what people will do to their jackets. You know, I hear if you dowse your jacket in jet fuel and run it through a wood chipper, it gets a very nice patina with just the right amount of wear on the seams.

: : Putting the jacket on and rolling around in a box of broken glass is also a good method for distressing the jacket. It gives it that "shot in the arm, bloody jacket, truck chase scene" look. BTW. What kind of pistol did the Nazi shoot Indy with? I would like to get one, then have a friend shoot me in the arm (with the jacket on). Now we're getting authentic.

: Good! I thought I was an oddball. I plan on ordering a Wested in the new lambskin, and babying it like I do other fine items of distinction. I am sure with proper care this jacket will outlast me! One day many years from now(I hope) my jacket will be perfect in its naturally weathered look. What more could you ask for? Steve

Seriously, yes I think naturally is the way to go. I've had my Raiders Wested for a year now(I think it was this week, last year). Now that it's been worn a lot, it looks really cool. There's some nice slight distressing on the collar, storm flap, elbows, etc.
It should look even better this time next year.
See ya! DeWayne
