Yes. Pan n scan eliminates about 40% of the original picture(of a film shot in 2.35.1). (NM)

: : Hi,
: : My question is this,
: : What are the pros and cons of both the widescreen and regular remastered Indy videos? I am NOT asking for which you like better, as I don't want to start another Great War. Is widescreen in letterbox format?
: : Thanks,
: : Jonathan Jones
: : Who is very glad to see indianajones.com up and running

: Widescreen IS letterbox. You just get to see ALL the picture as it was originally envisioned by the original producers of the movie. Pan and scan leaves out a ton of "information" with is 4X3 ratio. Regards. Michaelson
