The Infernal Machine,Chapter 4

I Need help in Chapter 4, The "Clock Puzzle". I went to the bottom of the Shambala Monastery and pushed the box to activate the machine with the moving platforms, climbed back up, but still the buttons that open up the doors and/or activate the rest of the clock are unavailable. What did I miss?
