I may be very wrong, but I believe Omar to be the elderly gentleman who interprets the headpiece to the Staff of Ra. Originally, in the scene where Sallah says "perhaps a man I know can help" (referring to Omar) he spoke the line as "Omar" can help, to which they dubbed in "a man" in place of "Omar" in order to prevent confusion as to who Omar was. Confused? Me too. But I think Omar is the old man. Maybe someone else will help clarify. Regards --nitzsche
