Would you guys reccomend trying the cowhide over the lamb hide jacket

I have a lambskin Raiders and I have a lamb hide L.C. on order from Wested. But now I've read that Wested offers a cowhide version. What does Peter have to say about the cowhide, does he reccomend it? Have any of you seen it? Is it a heavier leather than the lamb hide?Maybe if cowhide is thicker than the lamb hide it would respond better to the pre-distressing? I don't know what I should do, could you guys give me some advice, on what I should order.I can always call them up and have them change the leather should I do this? Thank you
