I guess I'm the only one who actually liked the George Hall book ends, too bad. They always reminded me of the stories my grandfather told me of his youth. Nothing as extravagant as joining WWI, but there were alot of years there at the begining of the century that times weren't as easy as they are now. My grandfather died back in '86, I'd give anything to hear some of his stories one more time. The purpose of the book ends was to further emphasize the importance of history, and suggest that maybe we should listen to those who have something to say about it. It's true they were pulled, because people didn't like the idea of an "old" Indiana Jones, but I thought they were great. They sure did show that even in old age Indiana Jones was no one to mess with. Anyway, I hope if the YIJCs ever end up on DVD the original book ends will be included.
