: That's true. I just found out that 7000 UK pounds is actually about US$12,000. And besides, the auction should happen any time, and Its too short a period to raise that kind of money. Lets just hope that the Smithsonian people are considering to bid for the whip. Maybe we should let them know that there is a piece of important cultural relic at Christie's.
