Whatever happened to the ToD VOODOO DOLL?

One thing has always made me think about ToD. What the hell happened to that Voodoo doll of Indy?

Is the damned thing still in that cave, where that evil little shit was. What happens if someone walks by and treads on it? Or worse, throws it in a fire? Will Indy be back in USA teaching and suddenly drop dead? How far is its range? Is its power temporary?

Any insights Indy experts.
