I liked the sci-fi story behind the Matrix. In fact I liked the movie, and usually I hate those kind of movies. When they make the entire trilogy, it may become a sort of "classic" for a new, younger generation of filmgoers too young to have seen Indy in the theaters. I'm glad I'm not one of them. However I don't think it is on par with Star Wars and Indy- two groups of films which really stand above the crowd in terms of the impact they have made on American popular culture.

Right now the stylized gunfight scenes in The Matrix just reminds me of the "Trench Coat Mafia", something I'd rather forget about. But the Kung-Fu and cinematography were great.

Also, the only memorable quotes from that movie are "Whoah," and "I know Kung-Fu."

Cheers,
Abner
