Infernal Machine: BABYLON

HI, All.......Can someone help please? I am stuck in Babylon. I have ridden on top of the truck and killed the guards.Jumped onto a box and got the treasure. Now I am standing on a ledge overlooking two trucks and trying to jump to the next roof to my left. Is this right? He will not catch onto the roof. Is there a way to get that gate open? Walkthrough isn't much help at this point. Any help much appreciated.
