: I just recently got my Alden Indy boots. They are GREAT!! I love them. Had them for a week or two now. Most dang comfortable shoes I've ever worn. However, I'm kind of wondering about the shoelaces. They already look like they're starting to get worn. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to wear out, and where I could get similar replacements?

: Thanks,

Hey. I found it usually depends on how tight you pull the laces when you tie them. I think two weeks is a new record, however. My laces usually last only about six months at the most. I guess I work out a lot of stress while tying my boots. Got any friends in the military? They may be able to suggest a hard-working brand of laces for you. I remember it took my father years to wear out laces on his combat boots. Just my two (trivial) cents.
