Lot's of neat "old" stuff in NY comes to mind...I would check out The Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center for 1930s atmosphere, Jekyll & Hyde's Club for Adventurers and Mad Scientists (The Greenwich Village one, NOT the one by Central Park), the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian Collection, the Museum of Natural History, and of course the top of the Empire State Building (the building that can't be beat for style...except by the Chrysler Building!)NYC is great also because you can wear a suit a fedora and not feel out of place (depending on where you go...)
