: Like everybody else, I'm interested in the Wested jackets, but have a few questions. I've seen several people who have ordered the Raiders jacket and the Last Crusade jacket, but haven't heard of one person who's gotten the ToD jacket. Does this one have the pox or something? I'd like a jacket with a snap down collar, zippered inner pocket, good collar that could be turned up (but not necessarily) and hand warmer pockets I can actually fit my hands into. Anybody got any suggestions?

: I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be waiting 2 months for whatever I order, but let me ask this question. The English price is £140 sterling, and the American price is $249. At the current exchange rate, the English price is about $224, which would put the entire purchase (including shipping) at around $250. Has anyone checked with Peter about either transferring English funds or coming down to the English equivalent?

: Also, I keep getting conflicting information. Is there a difference between lamb skin and hide????

The reason forthe disconnect in the conversion is that it costs Peter between $15 and $25 to negotiate a check in foreign funds. Try going to your local bank and buying a foreign draft (the equivelant of a cashier'scheck. If you're lucky, you can buy one for around $10. They can run as high as $25.

Having Peter charge your credit card in local currency (British Pounds Sterling)sends the burden for conversion to your credit card company, but in my experience, you don't usually get a very good rate.

On both of my jackets, I've watched the rates over a period of a few weeks, and bought foreign drafts when the rates took a dip. My effective cost on conversion (vs.what Visa would've given me)was arounf $5 per transaction -$10 out of pocket for the draft, but a $4-$6 saving on the rate. Then I just mail Peter the draft, and for him it's like getting a certified check drawn on a local bank.

Overkill? Maybe...

Cheers!
