Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom- Hindi Translations!

Earlier today, my bro Brett and I watched selected scenes of "Indiana
Jones and the Temple of Doom" with our mutual friend Zamir who knows
some of the Hindi language. We got him to translate some of Mola
Ram's lines, they were really interesting and a little creepy!

OK, as Mola Ram is pouring the blood of Kali into Indy's mouth he
repeatedly says: "THE SPIRIT OF THE DEVIL IS IN YOUR EYES"

After Indy spits the blood out and Shorty kicks the voodoo doll out of
the Maharaja's (sp?) hands, Mola Ram says "You dare not do that" in
English of course and then he orders the big thuggee in hindi to "BEAT
HIM!" As the massive thuggee is whipping Indy, Mola Ram keeps on
cursing Indy in Hindi saying, "BEAT THIS BASTARD! BEAT THIS DRUNKEN
BASTARD!"

Also, during the sacrifice scenes, Mola Ram says: "Kali Ma... shock te
de!" which means "KALI MA... GIVE ME POWER!"

In the rope bridge scenes, when Indiana Jones and Mola Ram are engaged
in hand-to-heart combat, Mola Ram calls Indy a "THIEF OF SKIN" or
"WASTE OF FLESH".

When Mola Ram yells to his thuggees to shot their arrows at Indy, he
is saying "KILL THE GUY BELOW ME! FINISH HIM!!"

Also, many people around here wonder what Indy is saying in Hindi
after the "You betrayed Shiva!" line. He's just saying "You betrayed
Shiva" in Hindi!

In the Willie sacrifice scene, Mola Ram says some lines in Hindi
followed by Indy saying in English "Kali-ma protects us..." Indy's
English line was simply a translation of Mola Ram's Hindi line.

Of course, Zamir couldn't translate everything to the exact words.
