I recieved my Raiders gunbelt yesterday as well, and the whip holder is attached to it by some stitching, and metal studs. The bottom snap closure goes through the leather whip holder and belt. It's hard to explain, but it doesn't come off. It looks great though, I will be sending some pics (especially pics of the whip holder arrangment) over to Indy Gear soon.
