Yes, it curls a bit at the top. My previous Raiders Wested curled significantly more the my current LC. I believe this is because I had Peter put leather facings down the inside of the zipper. They cause that area of the jacket to be a bit more rigid. I asked for them to save on wear on the lining where it is exposed to the edges of the jacket. You can see the facings if you click on the first image of my jacket on IndyGear.
