: What is the big draw to buying all this Indy Gear? Is it emulation through appearance? A collecting issue? Just curious.

: Happy trails

I was a kid in the fifties. My dad was a postal clerk and
wore a suit and a fedora to work every day. He drove trucks part-
time and often wore a leather wind breaker. When we went out to
dinner or visiting relatives I often wore a duplicate of my dad's
fedora. So I've never felt self-concious wearing a fedora. Indy
just brought back a hat that every man used to wear till it fell
out of vogue when Kennedy was president.
I've had a Cooper jacket for ten years now. I've worn my fedora
with it, but like others here, that's been about the extent of it.
I'm basicly a jeans and tee shirt, flannel shirt old hippie kinda
guy. A brown fedora and weathered leather jacket blend just
fine. I bought a pair of Aldens back in September and I haven't
worn any others since. One of the best shoes I've ever worn. It
took some doing to get that look of benign neglect, but now they
are really broke in. Look great with blue jeans. And when you
lace them up in the morning out of no where you can hear.....

dum da dum dum dant da da...dum da dum dum dant da da daaaa.

Collecting Indy stuff has just been a hoot, a lot of fun, and makes
your den look cool.

Cheers
Ellison
