: I used Fiebings on my beat-up pre-distressed jacket because it was becoming too light. I only did this as a last resort and because I don't care what happens to this old jacket, and have used it to experiment with sandpaper, etc. While the results have been satisfactory I wouldn't put dye on a nice new one! Not recommended for long term care or a brand new jacket. As long as you ordered new leather you should have no reason to worry about the color. Incidentally, Fiebing's leather dye works well on gun stocks! If you are interested, Fiebings is available at Tandy leather. Meltonian is available at better shoe stores or you might try ordering from- http://www.congressleather.com/clmeltonan.htm

Thanks for the info! What color of Fiebings would you recommend for the Aldens? (I want one that is closest to the older pair of boots on the right at this page: http://www.indygear.com/Boot5.jpg)

My concern over the jacket is a result of seeing the picture of your two jackets at the Indy Gear site. I really don't care for your LC Pre-Distressed Jacket's color, as much as your Raiders New version.

I am getting a Last Crusade New version, do you think that the color will be close to your Raiders New version?
