: I use an editor called JED, it's a really good editor which uses negative space/sector editing- a little hard to learn at first but is much easier to create lifelike areas than other game editors. You guys probably already know that the Infernal Machine game was created from a modified Jedi Knight engine- so basically you can create areas that are just like Infernal, only in a lesser color depth. Took me about a month to get things rolling but after that I was pretty much able to put any idea into game form- lots of fun. If you're interested just go here- it's all free!
